Job Title: Mobile Unit Mechanic

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and dynamic mechanic to join our team as a Mobile Unit Mechanic. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment on our mobile unit, which includes a wide range of machinery and vehicles.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems on mobile unit equipment.
  2. Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on machines and vehicles according to manufacturer specifications.
  3. Ensure compliance with safety standards when performing repairs and inspections.
  4. Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent on each task.
  5. Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot technical issues and ensure efficient operation of the mobile unit.
  6. Conduct regular equipment inspections to identify potential problems and propose solutions.
  7. Follow established safety procedures and protocols when using tools and equipment.

Required Skills:

  1. Proven experience in automotive, diesel, or industrial mechanics.
  2. Good understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  3. Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical manuals.
  4. Proficiency in effectively using diagnostic and repair tools.
  5. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  6. Attention to detail and ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment.
  7. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to different sites as needed.

Working Conditions:

This position is field-based, with mobility required to travel to different sites where the mobile unit is deployed. Flexible schedules may be required based on operational needs. Competitive compensation, benefits, and ongoing training opportunities will be provided to the successful candidate.

  • Minimum 2 years of related experience
