Automotive Senior Accounting Clerk/Administrator

Our client has an immediate requirement for a Senior Accounting Clerk/Administrator to join their fast-growing team. They are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join their team.

About the opportunity…

As an integral part of the “we can do that” operation, this position is responsible to perform all tasks related to the processing of all vehicle sales, specifically but not limited to:

  • Purchase and stock-in New Vehicles
  • Posting New, Preowned, wholesale and dealer trades sales
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Back up and assist all accounting team during month end and year end
  • Process salary, hourly and commission payroll
  • Post Vehicle sales onto GL/Review deals on daily basis
  • Check car deal paperwork for compliance
  • Document filing
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
  • Contribute to a strong relationship through positive interactions with Business Unit
  • Assist with preparations for audits
  • Responsibilities also include (but are not limited to) analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments Responsible of reconciling schedules by communicating with business units
  • Perform financial activities including month-end/year-end closing/submission, analysis, and reconciliation of general ledger accounts in timely manner
  • Perform daily vehicle flooring payout/chattel
  • Keep track of payments and receipts between dealership and manufacturer

About you…

Ideal candidates will have a proven experience in accounting administration and processing, including but not limited to the following:

  • 1 to 3 years of proven accounting experience in a dealership environment is preferred.
  • post-secondary education in accounting
  • proficiency working with ERP systems (i.e. CDK/Reynolds/One Eighty)
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
  • a desire to work in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
  • ability to adapt to a changing environment and meet deadlines.
  • ability to communicate professionally (verbally and written)
  • strong attention to detail, organized and strategic.
  • ability to maintain professionalism.
  • ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • self-motivated and driven with a passion for excellence in execution.
  • a proven commitment to quality of work
  • Solid accounting mindset in accounting basics.
  • Sensitive in number matching and reconciliation.
  • Ability to process mass volume of transactions efficiently.
  • Highly self-motivated individual, ability to work effectively under stress and deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Well-organized and detail oriented.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00-$31.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
