Our client is a multi-facility medical center in CA. They are part of one of the largest, most successful and decorated health systems in the United States. They offer both community-based and tertiary medical services.

Their location has over 400 licensed beds and is a not-for-profit. They are also fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. They have received special recognition for quality by the Joint Commission this year and won a Consumer Choice award for hospitals from the National Research Council.

They have an immediate opening for an energetic human resource executive to lead a strong department to the next level of service.

The selected candidate will:

  1. Serve as a member of multiple senior leadership or service line teams. Provides expert knowledge and support to these leaders and the rest of management on human resources (HR) related issues.
  2. Act as an employee and management champion and change agent. Assess and anticipate HR-related needs and communicate needs proactively with senior HR and operations leadership to meet business objectives.
  3. Formulate partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.
  4. Actively participate in the local community and may serve on a local board to ensure that the hospital is known in the community it serves and to represent it positively in that role.
  5. Partner on key program development and implementation, representing HR operations. Serve as a resource to others under their scope.

Support a minimum of 3000 employees/providers or a minimum of 2000 employees and two or more entities serving on multiple senior leadership teams.

EDUCATION:
  • Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Industrial Relations or related field.
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
  • DL-Valid Driver's License Class C
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
  • 6 years recent relevant experience in healthcare human resources.
  • VERY recent Hospital HR leadership experience STRONGLY PREFERRED.
