In this role, you will lead a team of developers while demonstrating exceptional communication, organizational, and management skills.
As a Senior Full Stack Developer and Lead, you will collaborate closely with Project Managers to understand client requirements for web or mobile projects. The ideal candidate should be a self-motivated individual with a passion for development and a strong understanding of front-end and back-end technologies.
You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying software applications, working collaboratively with other teams and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met, and innovative solutions are delivered. To excel in this role, you must have excellent communication skills and be able to motivate and inspire your team of developers.
This is a fast-paced environment where the ideal candidate must be comfortable handling multiple tasks simultaneously and possess a strong work ethic committed to achieving results. Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Collaborate with project managers, developers and senior architects to complete development projects.
- Lead and facilitate daily scrum meetings with project managers and global development.
- Act as the primary contact for development and provide daily updates to Project Managers in Toronto on the progress of all tasks and projects.
- Maintain a detail-oriented approach and demonstrate a thorough understanding of technical requirements.
- Assign tasks to the development team or handle issues directly as necessary.
- Ensure all tasks and projects undergo comprehensive quality assurance checks for accuracy and completeness before being handed off.
- Ensure that projects are completed within the designated timeline.
- Undertake hands-on development work and architecture for North American development projects.
What we are looking for
- Possess 3+ years of hands-on experience in NodeJS, NextJS, NestJS, React, Angular, or Express.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of TypeScript and JavaScript (with TypeScriptpreferred).
- Knowledge of utilizing Azure and/or AWS, and/or GCP is essential.
- Proficiency in Dev Containers (VSCode) and Docker is critical.
- Possess a solid understanding of CMS platforms (such as WordPress, Kentico, Umbraco, Drupal, etc.), preferred.
- Experience with full-cycle development is necessary.
- Exhibit a willingness to constantly learn and absorb new information in the technical and business realms.
- Experience in Git and teamwork (project management) preferred.
- Previous experience in leading scrums with the ability to lead a development team effectively.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, or equivalent post-secondary education.
