This store has a large staff of over 10 pharmacists and 15 assistants which allows a ton of flexibility in your schedule and the ability to have time off for the events that are important to you. This pharmacy does a large volume of acute care prescriptions and services two large prisons which entails compliance packaging and amazing collaborative working relationships with a number of nurses. Medi Center is also the main Opioid Agonist Therapy (OAT) store in Prince Albert. It has a Board-Certified HIV pharmacist on staff too This store has a lot of fun together, join the team today

Position Details:

Patient Focused Care Responsibilities:
The Pharmacist is responsible for providing safe, effective, and appropriate drug therapy and actively contributes to an environment of
employee and customer engagement. The Pharmacist will play a key role in
achieving departmental excellence in the areas of patient focused care,
customer service and workflow efficiencies.
• Focus on clinical services (i.e., medication reviews, disease state management)
• Initiate care plans, follow up and document
• Administer vaccines
• Determine appropriateness of drug therapy
• Monitor medication adherence
• Collect and document relevant patient, drug, and disease information
• Recommend OTC products and vitamins
• Answer questions from patients that require therapeutic knowledge, clinical analysis, or assessment
• Supervise a pharmacy student or a provisional
• pharmacist in the performance of restricted activities
• Other duties as required
Qualifications & Skills:
• Experience in Kroll
• Experience working in a retail environment
• Good communication skills (both oral and written)
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team
