About the team

Stripe Terminal helps our users extend their online presence to the physical world. The Terminal team’s mission is to make it as easy for businesses to accept in-person payments as the Stripe API has done for online payments. With Terminal, businesses can unlock in-person payments use cases that are right for their business model—whether it’s creating a superb retail experience, extending their website to a pop-up store, or enabling a mobile point-of-sale at their next event. Terminal is one of the fastest growing products at Stripe and we are expanding both globally and into new segments and verticals.

What you’ll do

As the Commerce Experience PM, you will be responsible for creating world-class checkout experiences for Terminal merchants and their consumers.

Responsibilities

  1. Set a motivating multi-year vision and then break it down into measurable, meaningful milestones for the Terminal Commerce Experience team. This includes creating buy-in, crafting roadmaps and OKRs, and navigating trade-offs.
  2. Partner with software engineers and cross-functional partners to research and deliver what our users and merchants need.
  3. Use metrics to inform your point of view and leverage analytics to measure success.

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  1. 5+ years of product management experience or equivalent.
  2. Demonstrated success and strong execution track record in building consumer-facing experiences.
  3. Great interpersonal skills and strong verbal and written communication. You can make complex concepts accessible with clear communication.
  4. Experience working on developer products (APIs, SDKs) and building interfaces that support both internal or external users.
  5. Experience working closely with one or more engineering teams to collaboratively design technical solutions, evaluate trade-offs and execute on an ambitious backlog.
  6. Technically adept systems thinker, ideally with a Computer Science or equivalent degree strongly preferred.

Preferred qualifications

  1. Experience working in fintech and/or payments.
