Poste - Architecte Technique Jouabilité

Nous recherchons un ·e architecte technique jouabilité expérimenté ·e pour rejoindre notre équipe. Vous serez responsable de la vision et de la stratégie technique des projets. Vous adopterez une approche avant-gardiste afin de développer des solutions de haute qualité et d'intégrer des technologies de pointe le cas échéant. En tant qu'Architecte Technique Jouabilité, l'objectif sera d'assurer une feuille de route qui permettra à l'équipe de livrer des jeux exceptionnels grâce à des systèmes développés en interne et à l'utilisation de technologies externes de pointe.

Reporting

L’Architecte Technique Jouabilité relèvera du Directeur Technique.

Responsabilités et tâches

  • Définir et communiquer la vision et la stratégie technologique.
  • Identifier les moteurs et les outils qui doivent être améliorés et évaluer la capacité des nouvelles technologies à fournir des solutions pour les projets.
  • Comprendre et mettre en évidence les détails de la mémoire et les caractéristiques de performance des systèmes.
  • Identifier les risques technologiques potentiels et les problèmes architecturaux et déterminer des solutions.
  • Assurer un leadership technique, en définissant les normes techniques à respecter.
  • Maintenir ses connaissances et analyser le potentiel des avancées et des tendances technologiques.
  • Planifier efficacement le travail et fournir des informations réalistes sur l'avancement des travaux à l'équipe et aux responsables.
  • Assister le directeur technique pour les documents de conception technique, la clarification des exigences, la définition des tâches et les examens de code par les pairs.

Qualifications recherchées

  • Plus de 10 ans d'expérience dans des fonctions connexes.
  • Livraison de plusieurs titres AAA pour consoles.
  • Forte expérience en programmation C++, expérience avec Unreal Engine un plus.
  • Connaissance approfondie et expérience d'une large gamme d'outils et de pipelines.
  • Expérience de plusieurs moteurs avec des compétences étendues dans différents domaines et secteurs du jeu..
  • Capacité à communiquer efficacement des concepts techniques avec les autres membres de l'équipe de développement.
  • Connaissance approfondie de la conception et de l'architecture des moteurs de jeu modernes.
  • Capacité à déboguer et à optimiser la mémoire, la bande passante et les performances à la fois à haut et à bas niveau.
  • Forte compréhension du domaine du jeu (animation, IA, comportement, etc).

Qualifications souhaitées

  • Compréhension du développement basé sur le cloud et des considérations relatives à la diffusion en continu.
  • Expérience avec Unreal Engine.
  • Connaissance de RUST et/ou Python et capacité à contribuer à l'outillage et aux pipelines utilisés par le moteur.
  • Idées fortes sur les KPI et les tableaux de bord nécessaires pour surveiller les paramètres clés du moteur.
  • Expérience de la construction et de l'exploitation d'un jeu en tant que service.

Position – Gameplay Technical Architect

We are looking for an experienced Gameplay Technical Architect to join the Haven Entertainment Studios project team. The Gameplay Technical Architect will lead on the technical vision and strategy of projects. They will adopt a forward-thinking approach to develop high quality solutions and integrate cutting edge technology as appropriate. As the Gameplay Technical Architect the focus will be to ensure a roadmap that enables the team to deliver exceptional games through internally developed systems and the utilization of external cutting-edge technology.

Reporting

The Gameplay Technical Architect will report to the Technical Director.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Define and communicate the technological vision and strategy.
  • Identify which engines and tools need enhancement and evaluate new technology’s ability to provide project solutions
  • Understand and surface details of the memory and performance characteristics of systems
  • Identify potential technological risks and architectural issues and determine solutions
  • Provide technical leadership, defining technical standards to be maintained
  • Maintain knowledge and analyze the potential of technological advances and trends
  • Plan work effectively, and provide realistic updates on progress to your team and managers
  • Assist the Technical Director with technical design documents, requirements clarification, task definitions and peer code-reviews.

Experience and skills required

  • 10+ years of experience in related roles
  • Shipped multiple AAA console title
  • Strong C++ programming, experience with Unreal Engine a plus
  • Deep knowledge and experience of a broad range of tools and pipelines
  • Experience of multiple engines with broad skills across different domains and areas of the game
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts with other members of the development team
  • Deep knowledge of modern game engine design & architecture
  • Ability to debug and optimize memory, bandwidth and performance both at both high and low level
  • Strong comprehension of gameplay domain (Animation, AI, Behavior, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of cloud-based development and streaming considerations
  • Experience with Unreal Engine
  • Some knowledge of RUST and/or Python and ability to contribute to tooling and pipelines utilized by the engine
  • Strong ideas around KPIs and dashboarding needed to monitor key engine metrics
  • Experience building and operating a game as a service
