We are looking for Supply School Nurse / Health Professional to provide cover in the absence of the school nurse.

This is a casual need basis vacancy. 

The Supply School Nurse / Health Professional’s primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth operation of the Medical room in order to provide professional, immediate and appropriate medical support to the students and the school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to the needs of students reporting sick, prioritise and deal with them as appropriate, including carrying out appropriate First Aid care.
  • Making arrangements to send home/contacting parents/hospitalisation, where necessary.
  • Advising and educating patients on follow-up care, general health matters, immunization, etc where appropriate.
  • Liaising with school staff on problems with students.
  • Responsible for maintaining the medical room in good condition.
  • Maintain accurate records of all visits to the Medical Room and report as appropriate.
  • Responsible for Accident Report Form completion where necessary.
  • Collate information for Health Department’s Students Health Service when necessary.
  • Providing staff with First Aid kits for camps, excursions, trips from the school's supply.
  • Feedback any problems/issues to the permanent School Nurse so they can be followed up.

Requirements

  • Current or previously registered Nurse in Hong Kong or overseas
  • Current 1st Aid and CPR certificate
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • High level of initiative
  • Good communication skills

Applicants must be a permanent Hong Kong resident or possess a valid visa to work in Hong Kong.
