The Role

As our Chief Pilot and Captain, you are responsible for the professional standards of the flight crews under your authority. Your expertise and dedication will contribute to our commitment to delivering exceptional service and ensuring compliance with all regulations. As a crucial member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in our continued success and reputation in the industry.

Responsibilities:

As our Chief Pilot, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing standard operating procedures
  • Developing or implementing all required approved training programs for Anderson Air’s flight

crews

  • Issuing directives and notices to the flight crews as required
  • Responsible for the actioning and distribution of accident, incident, and other occurrence reports
  • Responsible for the processing and actioning of any crew reports
  • Responsible for supervision of flight crew
  • Responsible for the operational suitability and requirements of all aerodromes and routes served by the operator
  • Maintaining all training records for pilots
  • Facilitating training events for each pilots according to the company’s training program
  • Assuming any responsibilities delegated by the Director of Flight Operations

As our Captain (Falcon 7X), you will be responsible for:

  • Flight Safety and Compliance:
  • Assume responsibility for the safe conduct of each flight, ensuring the highest level of safety for passengers, crew, and the aircraft.
  • Adhere to all aviation regulations, company policies, and procedures, including those outlined in the operations manual.
  • Flight Operations:
  • Serve as the Pilot in Command (PIC) for both 604 (Private, non-revenue) and 704 (Charter, revenue) non-scheduled Domestic and International passenger flights.
  • Communicate effectively with the crew, passengers, and air traffic control to ensure smooth operations and timely departures and arrivals.
  • Leadership and Teamwork:
  • Provide clear guidance, instructions, and support to the flight crew, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance and dispatch, to ensure seamless operations and resolve any issues or concerns.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years experience in a similar role within an organization
  • Proven people management skills managing a large team
  • ATPL Transport Canada license and ability to obtain a PPC on a Company aircraft
  • 5000 Hours Total Time minimum
  • 1000 Hours PIC minimum
  • Large aircraft experience
  • Corporate aviation experience
  • Ability to travel outside Canada
  • Ability to work in Canada
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Experience using ARINC FOS an asset
