Brandt is currently seeking a Field Service Technician for our Vernon Construction & Forestry location.

This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of construction and forestry based equipment and attachments. The shift schedule for this position is 7 days on, 7 days off.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Evaluate the working condition of heavy duty equipment
  2. Diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair equipment
  3. Use secondary materials, equipment, hand and power tools, and computer systems safely and efficiently
  4. Document all machine information, actions taken, and time taken on work orders
  5. Assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely
  6. Use computer applications and information systems for maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis
  7. Locate and order parts using parts catalogues
  8. Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required
Required Skills
  1. Effective communication and teamwork with customers, service team, and branch personnel
  2. Physical ability to meet demands like climbing, lifting, standing, and fine motor control
  3. Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
Required Experience
  1. Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment preferred
  2. Certified Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade preferred
  3. Commitment to customer service and excellence
  4. Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, service team, and branch personnel
  5. Physical ability to meet demands like climbing, lifting, standing, and fine motor control
  6. Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
