Job Responsibilities

  • Effectively communicate with customers to identifyunit issues and determine services needed. Listening to customer's descriptions of the symptoms; clarifying descriptions of problems. Conducting inspections, checkingunit maintenance records and assess unit for repair.
  • Verify warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and prior service papers. Explaining provisions and exclusions for service required.
  • Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor to calculate customer payment.
  • Prepares repair order by describing symptoms, problems and causes discovered.
  • provide excellent service by explaining estimates and expected return of the unit. Obtain customers approval of estimates, provide contact telephone number and confirms.
  • Initiate timely communications with the customer regarding the vehicle service process.
  • Ensure that all service-related documentation is properly completed and executed including related information.

Education/Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
