Length: 13 weeks
Requirements:
- VA/Compact License
- 1 year of Surgical experience
- BLS
- Travel experience preferred
- Community hospital experiencepreferred
- Float: Possible
- 50-mile radius required NO local travelers

Start: ASAP/~3-weeks from offer; orientation is e/o Monday. 4/22, etc.
Schedule: 3x12s; every other weekend
Duration: 13-weeks
Patient Diagnoses: General surgery, abdominal surgery, urological surgery, orthopedic surgery, hysterectomy, mastectomy, spine surgery, bariatric surgery.
Special Procedures/Unit Details: Will accept pediatric surgical patients aged 12 and above depending on surgical procedure. Fast paced inpatient surgical unit requiring previous surgical experience.
Beds: 24
Avg Daily Census: 18
REQUIREMENTS:
– BLS
– VA or compact License
1 year of Surgical experience
– Experience with
o Surgical unit
o Feeding tube care and management
o Blood Product Administration
o Peripheral Line Care/Management
o PICC line management
o Starting IVs
o Heparin
o Insulin
o PCA
o Ortho trauma
o Total Joint Replacements
o Surgical drains
o Nasal Cannula
o Isolation Precautions
o Continuous Bladder Irrigation
o Ages 12+
PREFERRED:
– Travel experience
– Community hospital experience
