We are looking for a Cloud Architect, who will work on MDM projects for our Fortune 500 clients.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provision, configure, and manage cloud resources such as virtual machines, storage, networking components, and other infrastructure elements on platforms like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or others.
  2. Deploy and manage applications, services, and workloads on the cloud using automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or cloud-native services.
  3. Monitor cloud resources and applications for performance, availability, and security. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and optimize resource utilization.
  4. Implement and maintain security best practices for cloud environments, including access controls, identity and access management, encryption, and compliance.
  5. Establish and manage backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability in case of failures or disasters.
  6. Keep cloud infrastructure and applications up to date by applying patches and updates while minimizing downtime.
  7. Monitor and optimize cloud costs by analyzing resource consumption, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and implementing cost-effective solutions.
  8. Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and support for cloud-based applications and services. Make recommendations and/or participate in system architecture and design.
  9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of cloud infrastructure, configurations, and procedures.
  10. Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to cloud infrastructure, applications, and services.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Strong knowledge of cloud computing concepts and hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or others.
  2. Background in Linux/Unix Administration.
  3. Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs in a cloud context.
  4. Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IAC) tools like Terraform, scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell), and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).
  5. Ability to implement security best practices, including identity management, encryption, access controls, and compliance standards.
  6. Experience with monitoring tools, performance analysis, and troubleshooting techniques for cloud environments.
  7. Strong communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, document processes, and provide technical support.
  8. Relevant cloud certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, can be beneficial.
  9. Ability to analyze complex issues, think critically, and devise effective solutions.
  10. Cloud technologies evolve rapidly, so a willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and services is crucial.
  11. While not always required, a degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field can enhance qualifications.
