Ontario Government Client is actively seeking a Software Developer. As a Software Developer, where is your expertise in ETL/ELT processes using IICS and Microsoft Azure Synapse. Key requirements include database expertise, recent tool experience, and scripting proficiency. Familiarity with public sector health information systems is vital. Strong communication skills are essential for effective collaboration in this dynamic role.

Note: The candidate is present on-site for three days each week.

Must Haves:

  • Understanding and experience in ETL/ELT processes using IICS and Microsoft Azure Synapse.

  • Good grasp of database concepts for SQL Server and/or Oracle, including PL/SQL.

  • Recent direct experience with IICS, Microsoft Azure Synapse, Informatica PowerCenter, and SQL Server.

  • Practical knowledge of scripting languages like Bash, Perl, or Python.

  • Experience with public sector health information systems holding personal health information (PHI) using IICS and Microsoft Azure.

Criteria:

  • Development Experience using IICS and Microsoft Azure:

    • Understanding and experience in specific approaches used for ETL/ELT processes.

    • Designing, developing, and implementing data solutions in Microsoft Azure Synapse.

    • Evidence of planning and executing end-to-end ETL/ELT solutions in fast-paced environments.

  • Scripting / Knowledge of the Technology Stack:

    • Recent experience with IICS, Microsoft Azure Synapse, Informatica PowerCenter, and SQL Server.

    • Practical knowledge of scripting languages is beneficial.

  • Experience with Public Health Information Systems:

    Experience working with IICS and Microsoft Azure on public sector health information systems holding PHI.

  • Soft Skills:

    Strong written and oral communication skills for effective stakeholder communication and collaboration.
