Job Description
  1. Take charge of the development and integration of engine level sensors such as manifold air pressure, crankcase pressure, knock, and oil pressure/temp sensors.
  2. Collaborate closely with existing suppliers on the design and development of sensor technologies to enhance engine performance and reliability.
  3. Develop and implement sourcing strategies with our global supply base to ensure the procurement of high-quality sensor components.
  4. Engage in the continuous improvement of sensor designs to meet evolving engine requirements and industry standards.
  5. Utilize advanced quality tools such as DFMEA and DVPR to ensure sensor components meet stringent quality and performance criteria.
  6. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to facilitate the seamless integration of sensors into engine systems.
  7. Lead the effort in troubleshooting and resolving sensor-related issues, ensuring optimal engine performance and reliability.
Qualifications
  • BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, providing a solid foundation in the principles relevant to engine sensor development.
  • Basic knowledge of internal combustion (IC) engines, demonstrating an understanding of engine mechanics and operations.
  • Experience with advanced quality tools and methodologies such as DFMEA and DVPR, ensuring the development of reliable and high-quality sensors.
  • Proficiency in NX CAD and familiarity with Siemens Teamcenter, enabling efficient design and data management.
  • Experience in component release within an OEM or a large Tier 1 company, showcasing a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Competency in Microsoft Suite, facilitating effective project documentation, analysis, and communication.
  • A background in sensor technology or engine diagnostics, highlighting a specialized expertise in engine sensor applications.
