Story Behind the Need:

• Business group: Global Cash Management – team is responsible for 2 deliverables: delivery of regulatory reports related to liquidity risks; cash management (intra day and end of day) – on behalf of the Bank
• Project: Regulatory Reporting – Liquidity Stress Testing Automation Project – building an automated solution that will produce a liquidity stress test on a daily basis on behalf of consolidated client enterprise
• Candidate will be doing business requirement documentation and UAT testing. A great amount of UAT testing need would relate to the new climate stress scenarios created to address liquidity adequacy assessment as part of the OSFI B-15 Climate Risk Management guideline.

Typical Day in Role:

• Documentation:
o Create, update, and maintain business requirement document of different products for liquidity risk cashflow engine to generate cashflows used in LST reporting
o Update and maintain product mapping table from liquidity risk data feeds to cashflow generation module.
o Create, update, and maintain product mapping logic from source system to liquidity risk data provisioning and enrichment layer
• Data Analysis and Testing:
o Review various data mappings along the liquidity risk data flow and understand the data structures along with the mappings.
o Write SQL queries for data mining.
o Write UAT test cases.
o Conduct UAT of data provisioned to support automation of LST modules, with a focus on Wholesale Funding and Securities financing transactions (SFTs).
o Conduct UAT of LST contractual cashflows generated from liquidity risk cashflow engine.
o Conduct UAT of LST report generated from reporting layer.
• Relationship Management:
o Collaborate and build rapport with Project Manager, other Business Analysts, reporting analysts and IT partners.
o Work with IT partners to help translate users’ requests into technical specifications, when necessary

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

• 8+ years of Business Analyst experience
• 3+ years of BA experience in the Liquidity Risk domain
• 3+ years’ experience with conducting UAT on data intensive reporting implementations involving technology changes
• 5+ years’ combined experience with VBA, SQL and Microsoft advanced functions
• 3+ years of experience working with banking products (e.g. loans, deposits, derivatives, commitments, wholesale funding, secured funding transactions)

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• Exposure to liquidity cashflow generator would be an asset
• Experience with large data programing preferred
• MBA, CFA or accounting designation is an asset.

• Creative, results oriented, highly motivated individual with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply knowledge to independently and effectively resolve complex business problems.
• Strong communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills to facilitate working with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment, manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
• Adaptable working as part of a team or independently with minimum supervision.

Education:

• Undergraduate degree in business, mathematical finance, statistics, mathematics or computer science is required

Best VS. Average Candidate:

• Ideal candidate can work independently, can figure out solutions with minimal hand holding; strong recent liquidity risk reporting experience in FI, strong data management experience, strong communication skills (written and oral)

• 2 rounds of interviews – 45 minutes:
o 1st – MS Teams Video interview – with Associate Director (technical assessment)
o 2nd – HM + Director – in person – with Associate Director and Director
