Ontario Government Client is actively seeking a Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Specialist. As a Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Specialist, where is in safeguarding personal information and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements. With over a decade of experience in operational risk assessments and policy analysis, you'll play a crucial role in evaluating technology impacts, guiding strategic policy planning, and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders. Bring your expertise to shape privacy initiatives in the public sector's dynamic landscape.

Note: The candidate is present on-site for three days each week.

Must Haves:

Technical Knowledge:

Practical understanding of information technology concepts impacting personal information protection.

Experience leading operational risk assessments and privacy impact assessments.

Competency in analyzing policy proposals and applying relevant legislation to ensure compliance.

Criteria:

Technical Knowledge:

Over 10 years of expertise in privacy impact assessment methodologies and threat analysis principles.

Practical knowledge of information technology processes affecting personal information protection.

Proficiency in managing privacy risks in health information collection and leading risk assessments.

Core Skills and Experience:

Over 10 years of experience resolving complex issues and analyzing policy implications.

Competency in acquiring and applying legislation to ensure compliance with proposed initiatives.

Ability to identify emerging privacy issues and evaluate their impact on policy directions.

Public Sector/Healthcare Experience:

5+ years working with public-sector healthcare providers, familiarity with privacy guidelines.

Knowledge of Public Sector Enterprise Architecture and project management methodologies.

Experience with large, complex IT health-related projects and adherence to IT standards.

General Skills:

Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
