First established in 1999 as WMVA, Volleyball Winnipeg is a community-based, volunteer-driven non-profit organization based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Volleyball Winnipeg is dedicated to providing exceptional volleyball training and experiences to all. This summer, we are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated instructors to join our team for our volleyball camps.

We are seeking energetic and engaging individuals to serve as Volleyball Camp Instructors for our summer camps. The ideal candidates will be passionate about working with youth, promoting physical activity, and creating a fun and safe environment. Additionally, the candidate would be required to assist with administrative tasks in the back office.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise volleyball activities for various youth age groups.
  • Ensure all activities are fun and conducted in a safe, supportive environment.
  • Help young athletes explore new sports and develop new skills.
  • Promote the physical and mental benefits of regular physical activity.
  • Adapt to challenges and modify training plans as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with youth participants and their parents/guardians.
  • Utilize social media for camp updates and engagement.
  • Manage daily schedules and correspondence via email.
  • Review past and future programs and assist in selecting programs and venues.
  • Respond to customer inquiries by phone or email.
  • Reach out to participants and other instructors/coaches for administrative purposes.
Requirements:
  • Students must have attended school full-time during the current academic year and be returning to school on a full-time basis in the upcoming academic year (part-time & distance education students are not eligible).
  • Pass a background check to work with children or vulnerable adults.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken English.
  • Motivated self-starter with a desire to grow as a coach.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with youth in a coaching or educational capacity.
  • Knowledge of volleyball techniques and coaching strategies.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.
