Job Description

  • Enterprise Business Modernization Project (EBMP) will implement a new enterprise solution for an integrated financial, human resource, and procurement system across government, replacing numerous applications and systems that currently provide those functions. At its core, EBMP is a business transformation project that will transform our business processes and the way that we work, allowing employees to spend more time serving citizens.
  • The Solution Architect's role is to provide technical oversight and solution implementation guidance. Primary responsibilities include working with technical and business functional resources to create and support optimal technical solutions and providing technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
  • The position will be full-time, located 100% onsite at a Government of Saskatchewan office in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.
  • Proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of solution architecture best practices are critical to successful performance in this role. Duties will include, but are not necessarily limited to:
  • Working with other technical and functional project team resources to develop the technical architectural design, ensuring it contains an appropriate level of guidance (business, information, application, and technical perspective);
  • Providing technical leadership, support, and guidance for project resources;
  • Ensuring GOS architectural standards and compliance guidance are adhered to;
  • Ensuring GOS security standards are followed, and risk management processes are adhered to;
  • Overseeing documentation of system design components for the project;
  • Providing oversight, technical guidance, and recommendations for specific technical project deliverables, including reporting, application integrations, and data extraction and conversion;
  • Assisting project resources in anticipating and identifying project issues and risks, and participating in their resolution, escalating as required.
