Career Transitions, LLC is currently recruiting, on behalf of a client in Harrow, Ontario Canada, to help fill an Engineering Technologist / Designer for this industrial manufacturer.Specific Responsibilities:3D CAD modeling design - SolidWorksProduct design & calculations conforming to all product safety regulations and guidelinesApplication engineering – component selectionBill of Material setup & maintenance – EpicorAssist manufacturing with technical guidance, procedures, formats and processes.Assist after-market product support with technical guidanceTechnical writing skillsAssist technical publications development with technical guidanceProject Change Management – detail project process and documentationSafely operate company forkliftsAbility to communicate effectively and positively to their team and clientsExcellent critical thinking with the ability to come up with innovative ideas and develop a reasonable time frame for each projectAbility to work under pressure and still deliver desired good results within tight deadlinesExcellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team membersAbility to solve problemsAbility to work effectively as part of a team with the same common goalRequirements:College diploma or mechanical engineer OR 5 years’ experience in a similar function utilizing 3D Solid modeling and design with Solidworks. Individuals should be well experienced in facets of product design including engineering principles, technical knowledge and experience utilizing the software.
