The Department of Engineering at Thompson Rivers University is a recent initiative to offer the BEng Software Engineering program. The department is seeking to hire a highly qualified individual for one (01) Tenured Position at the rank of Associate Teaching Professor/Associate Professor beginning July 1, 2024.

Qualifications:
  1. Education:
    PhD in Computer or Software Engineering or an equivalent discipline from a recognized university.
  2. Experience:
    Candidate’s teaching and research experience must be within the core areas of Computer or Software Engineering.
  3. Undergraduate Degree:
    Must have an undergraduate degree in an engineering discipline from a recognized university.
  4. Expertise:
    Candidate should demonstrate expertise to teach majority of the following courses in the areas of Software Engineering:
    1. Realtime System Design
    2. Digital Communication
    3. Control Systems
    4. Digital System Design (VLSI)
    5. Safety Critical Systems
    6. Computer Architecture
  5. Additional Requirements:
    Preference will be given to candidates with a valid Full Professional Engineer license from any of the professional engineers associations within Canadian jurisdiction. Demonstrated knowledge or familiarity with CEAB (Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board) accreditation process is a valuable asset.
