Position (details)

The Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager reports to the Director of Strategic Sourcing and is responsible for leading the execution of procurement activities in the functional areas of Procurement Strategy, Strategic Sourcing and Contract Development supporting financial services including mortgages, banking and insurance products, wealth management and asset management operations. The Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager will be responsible for leading the end-to-end sourcing activities for high complexity deals and where appropriate, provide support to the Director or AVP on confidential and highly strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Oversight on the procurement plan for their assigned Business Unit(s) to meet Business objectives and savings targets.

  • Category/Supplier Strategy to identify opportunities for savings by conducting market research and spend analytics to support sourcing strategies, while driving continuous improvement.

  • Strategic Sourcing through interaction and collaboration with assigned Business Unit(s) to lead competitive selection processes and provide advisory support.

  • Contract Development & Management including negotiation of terms, finalizing the contract package for execution and coaching on contract compliance.

  • Third-Party Risk Management at the category/supplier/engagement level and collaborating with risk stakeholders to assist with developing appropriate mitigation strategies.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field, preferably in business or finance.

  • Minimum 5 yrs experience in a financial environment and good understanding of wealth and asset management operations with exposure to mortgages, banking and insurance products.

  • Experience in managing the end-to-end RFx process and deal teams.

  • Skilled in contract negotiations supporting financial services categories such as Advisor services, fund operations, industry subscriptions and wealth product management.

  • Ability to manage senior to executive level stakeholders.
