  • Leading the Business through Transformational Change that Delights Customers & Consumers
Utilize strategic agility to capitalize on the significant changes happening in the industry and implement transformational change initiatives that align with strategic objectives and cause minimal disruption to day-to-day operations. Understand customer and consumer needs and tailor innovation and revenue growth strategies to address the unique and ever-changing environment. Ensure the highest level of customer and consumer satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborating Cross-functionally
Build and nurture strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including sales, product development, supply chain, finance and with agencies - both within Canada and globally - enhancing the marketing department's impact through strategic cross-functional collaboration. Be an active listener who understands and communicates openly while engaging in healthy debate.
  • Managing Talent with a Long-Term Vision
Build a high-performing team at multiple levels. Define succession plans for key roles. Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture within the sales organization.
  • Establishing Yourself as an Important Member of the President's Executive Team
You will be an integral and valued colleague/member of the Canadian executive team. The Canadian business is known for its collaborative, supportive, people-first culture and you will need to be seen as providing outstanding leadership and genuine business partnership to other members of the team.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

Book Smarts & Street Smarts

You have a bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field; an MBA/EMBA or advanced degree is a bonus. You've spent at least 15 years in progressively responsible senior roles across the different disciplines of the marketing function and have proven ability and passion to lead the strategic planning process and build ready-to-execute marketing strategies. You appreciate the importance of experience in the FMCG space, ideally in the grocery/food industry and have your finger on the pulse of the most current marketing trends. And, if you can speak French and/or Spanish, that capability would be an asset.

Admired, Action-Focused, People-Oriented Leadership

You are a revered executive leader with an ownership mindset and exceptional interpersonal skills, known for building productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You are resilient and understand your purpose. You inspire and motivate teams and create an environment of personal accountability where individuals take initiative and push themselves beyond their comfort zone to develop creative solutions that drive sustainable results. You have courage of conviction and are known for working effectively to influence across different cultures/perspectives and build trust. You are a values driven, low ego leader who authentically embraces the company's people-first culture while bringing a genuine passion for the business.

Strategic Agility & Business Acumen

You are a top-caliber marketing executive who can anticipate market trends and industry shifts that may impact the Company's commercial performance. Visionary and forward-thinking, you can see opportunities in an ever-evolving landscape and adapt strategies accordingly. You have a history of identifying strategic gaps and leveraging them to drive winning alternatives, innovation, disruption to the status quo and/or an improvement in practices. Your strong business acumen, unparalleled intellectual curiosity, and capability to ask the right/good/hard questions allows you to help the business uncover what's possible. You have proven capability in collaborating cross-functionally to provide strategic insights that contribute to the development and refinement of the Company's business strategy.

Results achiever

You bring a contagious determination and tenacity to the company, enabling you to move major initiatives forward, injecting pace and focus through stretch targets and the engagement and empowerment of others. You act like an owner by being courageous and bold, developing customer-ready solutions for quality execution and never settling for the status quo.

Be a Safety Ambassador

You are role model of our people-first culture who prioritizes the safety and wellbeing of our associates above everything else.
