Dynamics 365 Finance Developer

The IBM – Resource on Demand Team is seeking a Dynamics 365 Finance Developer for a contract opportunity in the Ottawa area.
Role description:
As a Sr. Full Stack Engineer, your primary focus will be delivering cloud-first, direct-to-consumer customization and services focused around D365 Finance & Operations. You will be a key contributor in building solutions to resolve specific business or technical needs in the retail landscape of the organization
The D365 Applications Technical Specialist will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and growing reporting needs on Power BI platform. The main focal area of this position will be to advance the future state of self-service analytics.
The person in this role isn't just developing reports - they must have the high-level experience and understanding to be able to determine the optimal course of action for each report, and the ability to determine which type of report makes the most sense in specific scenarios. Other responsibilities include:
Develop D365 custom reports and forms using X++ or SSRS.
Guide personnel interested in developing Power BI dashboards using Power BI and DAX.
Establish and promote best practices for dashboard and data set development and publishing (location, layout, dataset access, DAX usage, security, performance tuning, naming conventions)
Optimize Workspaces and datasets to promote ease of self-service, and provide a secure, structured organization of workspaces, apps, data sets and dashboards.
Advance access control, and data security capabilities in accordance with EBI, DoIT CSG and security consideration.
Coordinate with Microsoft Unified Support and other team members when troubleshooting and resolving performance issues.
Assess, build, and optimize new and existing reports and data visualization dashboards using Power BI and DAX as required to triage issues, or to recommend improvements.
Mandatory Skills:
Canadian Federal Government Security Clearance – Enhanced Reliability Security or Secret Level II
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a elated field.
Combined experience of 5 years as a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Developer and Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations module.
Strong understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 customization, configuration, and development.
Experience with data migration and integration using tools like Microsoft Power azure
Analyze, design, build and implement multi region service-based solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O
Utilize test driven development practices.
Execute against a backlog of User Stories and tasks on Azure Dev Ops.
Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
Actively participate in daily standup, team meetings, and demos in an Agile Model
Partner with teams across geographies and work in a dynamic, fast-track matrix environment.
Minimum 5 years of experience and proficiency in C#, .NET, and JavaScript
Minimum 3 years of experience in DevOps, SQL Server and SSRS for report development.
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications.
Familiarity with Azure DevOps for version control and release management.
Experience with X++
Experience with agile development methodologies.
