We are seeking a Payroll Specialist who will be responsible for North America Payroll full-cycle processing including compliances.

- Responsible forfull cycle payroll functions for Canada and USA including processing, journal entries, month-end/year-end reconciliations and compliances.
- Validates, reviews and reconciles the hours from the timekeeping system to final pay register.
- Ensure that all payments, deductions, remittances and dues are accurate, submitted on time and are in accordance with Federal and Provincial legislations.
- Prepare reports for third party remittances and various payroll reports.
- Process payments to benefit providers and ensure proper accounting reconciliation.
- Process payout requests, adjustments, deductions and garnishments as necessary.
- Responsible for all payroll related account reconciliations and clearing in SAP.
- Assist VP, Finance on Compensation Budget and Forecast process.
- Support special projects and other duties as required.
What you’ll bring…
- At least 3 years payroll administration experience in multi-state/province employee base.
- Expert at meeting deadlines while maintaining compliance and regulatory standards.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organization skills.
- Self-motivated and work effectively under pressure while being able to prioritize team efforts, meet deadlines, and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to deal with highly confidential information appropriately.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office applications especially excel and various payroll systems; working knowledge of UKG/Ulti-Pro preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or related field; Payroll certification is an asset.
