The Role:

As part of our team, you'll work with your manager in coordinating daily projects, potentially conducting periodic or resident inspections to ensure projects align with drawings and specifications. Your role will involve liaising between owners, clients, contractors, and various project stakeholders. You'll primarily focus on private development client projects, depending on our workload.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducting on-site reviews and coordinating tasks with clients and contractors.
  • Ensuring construction progress aligns with approved designs and specifications.
  • Collaborating with governing bodies and third-party agencies to support contracts.
  • Generating and distributing comprehensive site inspection reports.
  • Organizing and documenting project stakeholder meetings and producing meeting minutes.
  • Assessing monthly contractor progress claims and reviewing design drawing constructability.
  • Assisting in the preparation of tender and contract documents.
  • Reviewing project as-built information and other duties as required.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Related experience in Civil Engineering or Construction inspection
  • Successful completion of a post-secondary program in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities to handle multiple tasks.
  • Understanding of office dynamics and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communication with diverse stakeholders, including contractors, the public, and municipal staff.
