Our client is a Canadian family-owned manufacturer and importer. They are looking for a Director of Finance who will be responsible for overseeing the entire financial operations of the company, including compliance, tax, audit, and reporting.

About the Opportunity
- Manage a team of 4 or 5 accounting staff.
- Work closely with CEO and other leadership team members to provide financial support and input into major business decisions.
- Liaise with bankers as required, being the main day-to-day contact.
- Prepare and maintain monthly budgets, including cash flow management, reflecting actual results and any material changes in Sales or Buying Plan forecasts.
- Prepare and oversee weekly cash flow requirements.
- Prepare and submit the annual budget to Ownership and Bank on a timely basis.
- Oversee and communicate with Accounts Receivable and Credit Manager regarding status of the accounts (on a weekly and month end basis) and credit limits, where required.
- Liaise with Purchasing Manager regarding buying plan, payments, vendor terms.
- Work with department managers to obtain and process bi-weekly payroll. This includes salaried, hourly and piece work paid employees.
- Maintain payroll system, adjustments, new hires, ROE when required, T4s.
- Overall HR responsibility to ensure that Ontario ESA and corporate policies are followed.
- Maintain and report division financial information to ownership.
- Liaise with sales forecasting contact.
- Financial analysis of operations.
About You
- CPA designation or equivalent
- 8+ years of senior level finance management experience
- Knowledge of Stock House operation.
- Experience with ABL lending, in particular the type and frequency of reporting.
- Experience with Sage 300 software, Nethris 3rd party Payroll system, Momentis software (an asset).
- Knowledge of Importing from Far Eastern countries, in particular their bank and finance regulations.
- Familiarity with overseas payments e.g. Wire transfers, Letters of Credit.
Salary Range
$125,000 to $145,000/year
