YOUR MISSION
Reporting to the Head, Indirect Taxes, the Indirect Tax Analyst will help ensure that Cirque du Soleil Group entities comply with their indirect tax obligations in Canada and internationally. He/she will be called upon to:
- Participate in the review of tax returns;
- Prepare worksheets, forms and specific tax returns;
- Participate in the preparation of training tools for the various sectors of the company regarding indirect taxes;
- Assist Cirque du Soleil Group sectors in answering indirect tax questions related to their activities;
- Participate in updating tools, tables and accounting systems related to indirect taxes;
- Participate in the implementation of technological solutions affecting the processing of indirect taxes;
- Support senior advisors with communications with tax authorities for indirect tax audits and other procedures;
- Support the indirect tax team in reviewing contracts with suppliers, customers and partners to ensure compliance with indirect tax clauses;
- Support the Indirect Tax team in research and analysis to determine the applicable tax treatment for various Cirque du Soleil Group transactions;
- Perform all other related tasks.
YOUR UNIQUE EXPERTISE
- 1-3 years experience in Canadian sales taxes;
- Experience in indirect taxes in another jurisdiction, an asset;
- Professional accounting designation CPA (CA, CGA, CMA) or member of a recognized Bar, an asset;
- Knowledge of SAP and research software such as TaxnetPro, an asset;
- Good technical analysis of legislation, an asset;
- Good team spirit;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in French and English.
