POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a creative, qualified and skilled Nail Technician with a genuine passion for the beauty industry, entrusted with providing personalized nail services through exceptional customer service.

The successful candidate will be customer-focused, patient, have an eye for detail, manual dexterity, and an extensive knowledge of luxury beauty products, and play a critical role in creating a personalized customer experience anchored in self-care.

Reporting to the Retreat Manager, the Nail Technician will build genuine connections with our valued clientele, helping them discover and embrace their individual beauty.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Nail Services

  • Perform nail services such as manicures, pedicures, and nail enhancements, and other nail and skin treatments, using cutting-edge techniques and high-quality products.
  • Provide personalized recommendations on suitable treatments and products, demonstrating an understanding of colour theory and skin tone, based on customers’ needs, concerns, and goals, employing empathy and self-awareness to provide personalized recommendations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic treatment area, adhering to all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe and comfortable environment.

Customer Experience

  • Build trusted customer relationships by maintaining self-awareness, providing exceptional and consistent service, offering follow-up recommendations and establishing personalized nail regimens to foster long-term client loyalty.

Collaborate with fellow nail technicians and other team members to create a cohesive, accountable, and positive work environment, sharing knowledge, insights, and best practices to collectively achieve department goals and customer satisfaction.

  • Represent our luxury beauty retailer with pride and professionalism by embodying the brand’s values, authenticity, and aesthetic through personal grooming and style.
  • Embrace a growth mindset by staying up-to-date with industry developments, attending product trainings, and participating in brand events.

THE FIRST SIX MONTHS

Months 1 – 6

Training, servicing clients, merchandising, and overall store opening, operations, and holiday management.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU WILL NEED

  • Valid nail technician license or certificate from an accredited institution.
  • Proven experience as a nail technician, preferably in a high-volume retailer, spa/health club operation, or hospitality/hotel environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of nail services, trends, techniques, customer preferences, and treatment modalities, with a focus on luxury brands and products.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; bilingual in French and English.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, relationship building/handling, and sales acumen.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
