We are currently looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the growing Montreal regional office. Working on projects in a variety of sectors including mission critical, transit and secure facilities, hospitals and other health facilities, office buildings, and airports. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has sound electrical engineering skills combined with a proven track record of quality design and project site work. Responsibilities include:

  1. Seasoned professional individual contributor
  2. Delivers technical designs for projects of verifying complexity that could involve technical complexity, high project value, and multiple trades
  3. Independently creates conceptual designs, design specifications and assesses constructability and does so on a regular basis
  4. Independently develops standards and reports which can sign off on them
  5. Assists in creating project plans, participates in project planning and project management meetings and provides improvement recommendations to ensure project deliverables and timelines are met
  6. Review of work for more junior engineers for conventional projects
  7. Completes own work within budgeted hours
  8. Accountable for all designs through to construction completion
  9. Works independently in solving difficult and sometimes complex problems
  10. Oversees construction work on site
  11. Other duties as required

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  1. Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering
  2. 10+ years in engineering experience
  3. Accredited member by the OIQ
  4. Fully bilingual (French/English)
  5. Good knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
  6. Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices and contribute with innovative ideas
  7. Good accuracy and documentation skills
  8. Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
  9. Passionate about buildings and the built environment
