Responsibilities for the Structural Engineer:
  1. Perform detailed structural design under the mentorship of the principal-in-charge and/or senior engineers.
  2. Participate in delivering medium to large-sized projects, throughout all design and construction phases.
  3. Act as project manager for small to medium-sized projects, throughout all design and construction phases.
  4. Be involved in ongoing communication and coordination with other design consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
  5. Have sound knowledge of codes and standards within the area of design responsibilities.
  6. Deliver project deliverables on time and on budget.
  7. Build positive relationships with clients and help promote our core values.
  8. Contribute to the team’s technical knowledge resources.
  9. Act as a role model and technical mentor to junior engineers and BIM technicians.
Requirements & Qualifications for the Structural Engineer:

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of local or international experience designing buildings in the residential, commercial, municipal, and institutional sectors
Licensure: Must be a P.Eng. registered in ON or eligible for accreditation within 6 months of your start date
Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Software: Proficiency in programs such as RFEM, S-Concrete, Sizer, or other similar structural analysis software
