Job Summary: The Treasury Analyst will review financial transactions, examine cash flow, assess assets and liabilities, prepare treasury reports, and create financial forecasts and management strategies.  We are seeking a talented, motivated, and top performer to be a part of a smart and energetic team, as Li-Cycle enters its next phase of global growth. Responsibilities:
  • Cash Management 
    • Gather entity level cash flow forecast and update consolidated model
    • Ensure accurate and timely movement of funds
    • Initiate inter/intra-company transfers
    • Recommend changes to process 
    • Identify and explain variances
    • Work with Treasury team to optimize cash balances and investments
  • Reporting 
    • Monitor and report daily cash balances by legal entity and consolidation
    • Prepare exposure reports on quarterly basis for Treasurer/Senior Treasury Analyst
  • Banking Duties 
    • Help with management of all bank accts including reviewing and analyzing bank fees
    • Monitor all banking and credit card activities
    • Liaise with banks
    • Prepare paperwork and documentation for banks as needed
  • Hedging 
    • Execute spot transactions for head office, as required
    • Assist Treasurer/Senior Treasury Analyst on senior mgmt. decks re hedging and risk
    • Review trade and investment documentation to ensure consistency with executed trades
    • Review settlement procedures
  • Credit Facilities 
    • Help administer drawings and paperwork re borrowings on all credit facilities
    • Assist in reviewing quarterly compliance certificates including financing covenant calculations
    • Aid in understanding credit facility terms and conditions
    • Track outstanding Letters of Credit
  • Customer Credit Limits 
    • Conduct credit check and financial analysis for existing and prospective customers 
    • Make recommendations to the Treasurer on credit limits
  • Other 
    • Assist with insurance, tax and other projects on an as needed basis
    • Liaise with other depts (Legal, IT, M&A, Accounting etc.) on cash, banking and treasury-related matters
Qualifications:
  • University degree/college diploma in accounting/finance or related field of study
  • 2+ years’ related work experience, preferable in a mining industry
  • Financial modeling skills using excel
  • Technical competence in cash management and corporate treasury management/reporting with strong analytical skills
  • Experience working within a public traded company considered an asset 
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong financial and mathematic abilities

  • Demonstrated interest in cleantech, electric vehicles or renewable energy a plus
