Your work environment at EXP

EXP is recruiting for an Intermediate Electrical Engineer, Buildings to join our Mechanical/Electrical Buildings team in our London, ON, office. The successful applicant will be joining a diverse engineering group in Central Canada poised for growth and challenging opportunities well into the future.

What a day at EXP has in store for you
  1. Under the supervision of senior engineers or project manager, produce design packages including schematic diagrams, floor plans, equipment room layouts, and schedules.
  2. Under the supervision of a senior electrical engineer or project manager, prepare concept reports, meeting minutes, specification, and contract administration documents.
  3. Conduct site survey for existing conditions when required.
  4. Carry out the electrical calculation as required for the systems.
  5. Obtain information on equipment from suppliers and select equipment with input from senior designers.
  6. Attend site meetings during construction with a senior staff member.
  7. Contribute to all aspects of system-level design and assist with other general tasks when needed.
Requirements
  1. Registered as an Engineer-In-Training with PEO.
  2. 8-10 years of experience, with a preferred focus in buildings consulting engineering.
  3. Skilled in AutoCAD with a strong desire to acquire REVIT MEP proficiency.
  4. Knowledgeable in using photometric calculation software such as Agi32, Visual, and well versed in performing short circuit calculations using industry-accepted software such as SKM, ETAP would be preferred.
  5. Possesses outstanding attention to detail and accuracy.
  6. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.
