The Team

We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer to work with the Notification Services team in Scotia Digital, who can design and write test automation scripts for new or existing software. If you are an experienced software test Automation engineer with development mindset and commitment towards excellence in quality - this is the position for you

Is this role right for you?
  1. Utilize standard test automation frameworks to design, build and maintain programs/scripts that run automated tests on code produced by the team
  2. Contribute to manual testing process in addition to automated testing
  3. Analyse and identify test scenarios to be automated
  4. Deliver requested automation scripts in an Agile model with efficiency and accuracy ensuring automation best practices
  5. Continuously improve automated testing methodologies to enable QA SMEs to maximize test coverage of the full depth of enterprise product
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
  1. 4+ years of experience in Test Automation using Selenium-Java
  2. Experience in creating/maintaining automation BDD/TDD framework (Using Cucumber, Maven, TestNG)
  3. Hands on experience Automating mobile, web-based applications, and API web services
  4. Hands on experience using tools like SOAP UI, Postman, or something similar
  5. Good knowledge on version control tools such as Git, Bitbucket
  6. Good knowledge writing SQL/NoSQL queries
  7. Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Xray and test management tool HP ALM
  8. Very good knowledge on QA processes and hands-on experience of preparing testing artifacts such as test plan, strategy, Test cases, status reports
  9. Well knowledge of Agile principles and the flexibility to adapt the experience to new and evolving environments
  10. Previous experiences in major Canadian bank considered as an asset, specifically web banking system is considered an asset
  11. Good Communication skills
  12. Ability to work as a team and independently
