Duties:
- Review and interpret prescriptions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medication therapy
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently
- Provide medication counseling to patients, including information on dosage, side effects, and potential drug interactions
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive medication treatment plans
- Monitor patients' response to medication therapy and make appropriate adjustments as needed
- Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and regulations related to pharmacy practice
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and optimize medication use
Experience:
- Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution
- Current pharmacist license in Canada
- Proficiency in medical terminology and knowledge of drug classifications, interactions, and contraindications
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
