Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst - Treasury will play a key role in optimizing cash flow, maintaining adequate liquidity for daily operations, and managing the company’s banking activities. This role involves close collaboration with finance teams, banking partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure the accurate and timely execution of financial transactions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage daily cash positions
  • Forecast short-term and long-term cash flows to ensure sufficient liquidity
  • Processing of Wires, EFTs, ACH and Direct Bill payments and print checks on a daily basis
  • Conduct daily reviews of check exceptions and bank postings to identify and address any irregularities
  • Ensuring statutory compliance including the timely processing of payroll taxes and corporate taxes
  • Manage the company’s credit card program, including review, inquiries, postings, and payments
  • Prepare management reports highlighting cash movements with detailed analytical insights
  • Coordinating and assisting for statutory audits as required
  • Lead system improvements and controls in banking operations by being a key player and coordinating with other teams and external bank partners
  • Assist in developing internal controls and business processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes
  • Facilitate the funding of upcoming cash requirements highlighting risks and opportunities

Required Experience / Required Ingredients:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2+ years of treasury experience
  • Strong attention to detail with proactive approach in preventing potential problems
  • Strong communication, presentation and ability to multi-task required
  • Proficiency in financial software, including Excel and SAP
  • CPA, CFA designations or working towards it is an asset
  • Manufacturing and food industry experience is preferred
