Electrical Engineer – P.Eng

Location: Greater Toronto Area

The Electrical Engineer will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems and components. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to drive innovation, solve complex challenges, and contribute to the creation of leading solutions in the industry.

What you’ll be doing in the role:
  • Lead and participate in the successful execution of project design, layout, and engineering
  • Develop and approve engineering design documents, reports, and drawings
  • Define, monitor, and adjust project scope of work
  • Support the team during procurement, construction, and commissioning activities
  • Prepare technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and user manuals
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all electrical designs and implementations
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members
  • Attend customer sites for project reviews, commissioning, etc.
What you bring to the role:
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent
  • A valid P.Eng license in Ontario
  • Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Strong understanding of the Ontario Electrical Code
  • 7+ years in a similar field/role
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present technical information effectively
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Eng license in Ontario
  • PMP designation is an asset
  • Minimum 7 years’ post-graduate experience in Electrical Engineering design, commissioning, etc.
  • Experience with industrial and commercial projects including material handling, conveyor, and warehousing solutions
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, codes, regulations, and industry best practices
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience liaising with internal and external stakeholders effectively
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills
  • Highly motivated with exceptional organizational skills, a proven ability to consistently meet deadlines and prioritize tasks
  • Quotation experience is required
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office suite, AutoCAD (advanced level), Accubid, Spectrum, etc.
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license and clean driving abstract
  • Ability to travel to various project sites throughout the GTA and Southwestern Ontario. Occasional travel to other areas of Canada and/or the US may be required
