RequirementsContract DetailsExpected Start DateJune 2024Expected End DateDecember 2024On-Site RequirementRemoteSecurity Clearance LevelRequirements: This work will require Reliability statusDescription of ServiceThe marketing department has a need for a data analyst to support the migration of 3rd party data (company and individual level data) and other internal data sources into the Enterprise data platform (data lake) to be leveraged for various marketing analysis.Primary ResponsibilitiesWorking closely with the customer analytics team in marketing, the data analyst would be responsible for analysis of external and internal data sources and mapping to data in the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP). The individual will work closely with marketing analysts, as well as other data roles, such as data architects and data engineers to deep dive into the business rules and data transformation rules requirements, as well as analyze and document new requirements and to be able to help the design of the new data integration stream or update the existing data pipeline.

Specific Project Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated experience in SQL programming is required.
  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience in current and future state data mapping.
  • Identify qualified/approved records for system upload.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies (format, content, values).
  • Work with business team members on resolving quality issues.

SkillsTop Skills Required

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Well-rounded experience in the whole data lifecycle management and hands-on experience in the following data management domains: dimensional and relational data modeling, data quality, SQL programming (minimum 5 years), ETL development, metadata management and master data management, business intelligence and database administration.
  • Experience with reverse engineering the source to target mapping to gain data insights
  • Experience refactoring existing SQL code to new/alternate data sources.

Other Skills Required

  • Experience with Azure Data Platform technologies or other public cloud offerings
  • Experience with Databricks
  • Programming experience: SQL, R, Python
  • Understanding of Denodo platform
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, critical thinking, time management, priority planning and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand and interpret requirements and design documents
  • Ability to write and maintain documentation

Assets

  • Experience working in an Agile environment/team
  • Bilingualism in both official languages (English and French)
  • Greater than 5 years of SQL development and refactoring existing SQL
