Job Summary:

This position will work within the Shiseido Americas factory in the Finance department responsible for supporting month end closing and financial planning and analysis cycles (monthly CEP, Quarterly Latest Estimate) for Total Manufacturing Entity SAI as well as supporting BPC data upload.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the Overall Financial planning Cycles (monthly CEP, Quarterly Latest Estimate for Total Manufacturing Entity SAI)
  2. Deliver the analysis and understanding of Production Variances, including material consumption
  3. Provide monthly analysis of
    • Full-time labor hours impact on production variances
    • Excess and Obsolescence of inventory
    • Variance between Actuals and Forecast on P&L Lines
  4. Key resource to better understand drivers of Production Variances
  5. Execute Total Manufacturing Entity SAI BPC data upload
  6. Identify actions to mitigate any risks for the plant to deliver yearly performance and cost objectives
  7. Assist with collection of Actuals and business rationale assumptions used into the Financial Planning cycles
  8. Support building key messages for a planning cycle
  9. Prepare presentations that provide understanding of Operations performance to Senior Operations Finance management

Qualifications & Competencies:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field
  2. 3+ years of accounting experience ideally in a manufacturing environment (corporate Finance and/or Supply Chain internship experience will be considered)
  3. Able to analyze data and deep dive into P&L data
  4. Capacity and drive to identify & implement process improvement opportunities, able to detect data inconsistencies
  5. Solid written and verbal communication skills
  6. Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  7. Able to work with cross functional teams and various levels within Shiseido
  8. Able to perform multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently
  9. Capable of working in a fast-paced environment
  10. MS Office Suite (Advanced Excel skills a must)
  11. Flexible with working occasionally additional hours to meet deadlines
  12. Strong organization, timely and attention to detail is required
  13. SAP experience & knowledge is required
