We are on the lookout for a dynamic and adaptable Data Specialist to join our Analytic team. In this multifaceted role, the chosen candidate will take on the responsibilities of a Business Analyst, a Business Intelligence expert, and a Data Engineer. The Data Specialist will be pivotal in orchestrating end-to-end data integration processes, ensuring impeccable data quality, and acting as a custodian of data within our organization. This role encompasses designing, constructing, and maintaining data pipelines within the Data Platform environment, as well as overseeing the infrastructure of our data lake. Moreover, the Data Specialist will actively contribute to crafting data models that underpin forthcoming BI tools and analytics initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Integration:

Design, develop, and maintain data integration pipelines using Data Platform services to enable seamless data movement and transformation from diverse sources into the data lake.

  • Data Quality Assurance:

Ensure data quality through the implementation of robust data validation processes, error handling mechanisms, and data cleansing techniques.

  • Data Stewardship:

Act as a data steward, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and adherence to data governance policies across the organization.

  • Infrastructure Management:

Manage and optimize data infrastructure in the Data Platform to ensure high performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to comprehend data requirements and deliver solutions aligned with business needs.

  • API Development:

Develop and maintain APIs and endpoints for efficient data transfer between internal systems and applications.

  • Data Modeling:

Work closely with stakeholders to identify data usage patterns and create data models supporting advanced BI and analytics capabilities.

  • Issue Resolution and Process Enhancement:

Troubleshoot data integration issues and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement.

  • Training and Knowledge Sharing:

Participate in data-related training and knowledge-sharing initiatives within the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in roles involving business analysis, data engineering, data integration, and business intelligence.
  • Strong proficiency in Data Platform services, such as data storage, processing, and orchestration components.
  • Proficient in programming languages like Python, SQL, and/or Java for data manipulation and transformation.
  • Familiarity with data governance and stewardship practices to ensure data compliance and integrity.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling for analytics.
  • Experience in designing and implementing APIs and endpoints for efficient data transfer.
  • The Data Specialist's role is pivotal as they navigate the intersection of business analysis, business intelligence, and data engineering. Their expertise in these areas, particularly within the Data Platform ecosystem, will be instrumental in advancing data-related initiatives and promoting data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.
