The Opportunity

As a Senior IT Project Manager, you will be part of our inclusive team at Roche Informatics, where we're driven by a shared passion for technological novelties and optimal IT solutions. Working with the latest technology, you will drive the delivery of innovative IT solutions in a global environment.  Lead the delivery and deployment of new IT products/features and managing the service delivery for the operations of the IT products. Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with the project's objectives and requirements.

The Senior IT Project Manager will also have accountability and responsibility for implementing global service management processes. This covers the operational delivery of one or more IT services to the business.  

Key responsibilities:

  • Create a comprehensive project plan, including defining project goals, objectives, scope, deliverables, and timelines. 

  • Identify project stakeholders, establish effective communication channels, and manage their expectations and budgets. 

  • Identify tasks, allocate resources, and create a schedule to ensure the project progresses smoothly.

  • Oversee the project team, assigning roles and responsibilities, and ensuring effective collaboration. 

  • Facilitate communication, encourage teamwork, and provide guidance to team members to ensure they understand their tasks and deadlines.

  • Proactively identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate or minimize their impact on the project. This includes conducting risk assessments, creating contingency plans, and monitoring risks throughout the project.

  • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and report on the status to stakeholders. 

  • Assesse change requests, evaluating their impact on the project, and implementing approved changes while minimizing disruption.

  • Maintain project documentation, including project plans, reports, and communication records ensuring those are organized, up to date, and easily accessible to the project team and stakeholders.

  • Set up agile teams as needed to deliver in agile methodology where appropriate.

  • Set up IT service management for large solutions including oversight on the managed services vendor resources.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree required. IT discipline preferred.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in leading project teams and managing IT projects of local/global scope, in a multicultural, international environment (large and complex projects).

  • Ideal candidate must have a deep understanding ERP and SAP S/4 and with domain experience in Supply Chain, Finance and Commercial.

  • Servant leader with ability to coach, guide, mentor, and inspire Agile teams and stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships and facilitate communication across teams and stakeholders.

  • Advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills, capable of addressing complex issues and managing risks.

  • Preferably have at least one Scrum Certification like scaled certification (SAFe 5, SCRUM Master), PSMI, AGILE PM, etc.
