Our client is looking for a talented individual to join their team as a Senior Financial Analyst. This opportunity is with a dynamic junior mining company dedicated to pioneering excellence in the industry. This role offers collaboration opportunities with our dedicated off-site Canadian team.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day financial activities, including reporting, budgeting, and internal controls
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls tailored to the needs of a small mining
  • company
  • Act as backup for the current Senior Financial Analyst
  • Work closely with the Director of Finance to offload reporting, budgeting, and internal controls
  • responsibilities
  • Liaise with mine sites in Arizona, visiting 2-3 times a year
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the CFO, to drive impactful financial decisions
  • Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, regulatory filings, and presentations for stakeholders

Requirements

  • Designation as a senior financial analyst with experience in controllership, ideally in a public
  • company with mining sector experience
  • Strong understanding of reporting standards and budgeting processes
  • Proven experience in implementing internal controls, particularly in smaller organizations
  • Ability to work autonomously and make decisions independently
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a lean team environment
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to mine sites in Arizona (minimal)
  • Spanish language proficiency is a plus but not required
