Position Overview:Our client is a consulting company who work on heavy civil infrastructure, utilities and heavy industrial projects. Due to growth they are looking for a electrical drafter to join their team.Further Responsibilities Include the Following:Design instrumentation/electrical systemsCreate electrical and wiring drawings and electrical bills of materials.Select and specify electrical and instrumentation components.Create electrical cabinet and panel designs including fabrication and assembly.Assist in the design and specification of lab-scale and industrial process control systems.Wire, cable route and install electrical systemsCommissioning of electrical system wiring, systems and debugging.Create and manage SCADA control code.Assist in design reviews.Assist in DFMEAs.Manage electrical components and inventory.Build and assemble electrical sub-systems.Ideal Candidate Requirements:Technologist diploma or electrical engineering degree5+ years of experience in electrical designElectrical system installation experience2D or 3D CAD experience (AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electric or Plant 3D)Selection and specification experience for industrial automation componentsSoftware/hardware experience for control systems such as PLC, DCS or HMIWhy work for this firm:Work in an inclusive and collaborative work environmentFlexible work scheduleBenefits that include wellness for employees and their families.3 weeks vacationA respectful and inclusive workplaceInterested candidates are encouraged to send their resume in word format to this posting.
