Next Level Group is an executive search firm partnering with Manufacturing companies throughout Canada and the US. We have been a driving force in the North American staffing industry since 2011. We built our staffing agency on the need for business and staffing solution partnerships in industries that are honest, ethical, and professional in their practices. We are currently looking for a Construction Estimator for an Industry Leading Construction client located in Charlottetown, PEI.

PURPOSE:

Reporting to the President, the Construction Estimator is responsible to compile timely, accurate, and competitive estimates to provide a client or potential client for a tendered or negotiated project. As the successful candidate, you are a highly trusted, detail-oriented individual who can work as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  2. Gather proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
  3. Assess material, labour, and equipment required for a project.
  4. Analyze labour, material, and time requirements.
  5. Prepare quantity take-offs.
  6. Assemble, summarize, and analyze tenders; recommend awards.
  7. Assist in the selection of sub-trades.
  8. Interface with Project Manager, support team, and Client to achieve precise and accurate estimates.
  9. Solicit and maintain communication with subcontractors and vendors.
  10. Submit 100% of bids and budgets by bid deadline.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Graduate from a recognized Engineering, Construction Management, and/or Construction Science program.
  • 5 years’ experience as an Estimator in Canadian commercial/retail/industrial construction.
  • 5 years’ work experience in Canada.
  • Prior experience working hands-on in commercial/retail/industrial construction.
  • Red Seal Carpenter or carpentry experience coupled with estimating experience.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, prioritizing, and time management skills.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
