Grocery Supervisor

Responsibilities:

• Supervise the proper stocking of shelves with dry goods, dairy products, and selected cooler items to ensure accuracy.
• Implement and follow rotation procedures to keep products fresh.
• Ensure the grocery department remains clean and organized by dusting, cleaning shelves, and managing spills.
• Provide support for stocking freezer or dairy items as needed.
• Consistently follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe environment.
• Collaborate with management to order required products and manage inventory levels effectively.
• Assist in creating end displays and arranging shelves for weekly sales promotions.
• Train new grocery clerks on their duties and departmental procedures.
• Communicate regularly with assistant grocery managers and grocery managers about staff needs, work progress, and any relevant issues.
• Participate in breaking down pallets of stock and organizing items for shelving.
• Complete training for forklift or power pallet jack operation, including both online courses and hands-on training.
• Perform additional Grocery Clerk duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, excellent customer service skills.
• Smart Serve an asset.
• Basic math skills for counting and verifying inventory.

Terms of Employment: Full-time, including weekends and holidays

Wage/Salary: $19.00- $21.99 per/hour (depending on experience)
