WATER TREATMENT TECHNICIAN - Candidates should be open to working or relocating in Sparwood or Elkford, British Columbia. There are 4 different mining sites - each mining site is approximately 45 mins north of Sparwood and 1 hour commute from Fernie.

Employment Status: Independent Contractor
Site Location: Northeast of Elkford, BC
Relocation: Sparwood or Elkford
Rotation: 7 days on/7 days off
Working Hours: 12 hour shift per day (days and nights)
Accommodation: None
Monthly subsidy: Provided at a cost

Requirements:
-EOCP Program, Diploma in Sciences, Environmental Technology, or an equivalent combination of training and water treatment experience.
-Water Treatment Certification: Having a Level I, II, or III Water or Wastewater Treatment certificate
-At least 2 years work experience in monitoring and control of water treatment facility.
-A solid understanding of process equipment mechanics.
-Previous experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems, and membrane filtration.
-Ability to safely handle chemicals and operate equipment for transporting them.
-Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
-A valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent.
-Strong team player who is eager to learn.
-Excellent communication abilities are essential.
