The Manager, Employee Wellness & Safetyreports to the Director, Health, Safety & Wellness, LabourRelations. They will provide subject matter expertise, consultationand implementation on a variety of health, safety & wellness practicesto foster a thriving and inclusive workplace culture. They will haveresponsibility for Manitoba, Alberta and British Columbia.

How YOU will make a difference:

  • Support H&Snational programs at the local level including the introduction andmaintain of an incident management technology. Must have experienceworking across multiple provinces. Includes leading monthly reporting.
  • Consult with internal stakeholders regarding potentialenhancements/improvements to the company’s Employee Wellness, Safetyand Environmental policies, programs, processes, and standards andmake appropriate recommendations.
  • Understand lab relatedrisks and develop teaching aids and job aids to mitigate risks inaddition to other administrative controls.
  • Develop andmonitor all Dynacare safety training material with a view toleveraging technology.
  • Conduct all internal safety anddevelop corresponding audit recommendations.
  • Ensure ongoingeffective positioning and integration of corporate wellness, safetyprograms and services.
  • Provide on-going coaching and supportfor wellness, safety services on a systems-wide basis.
  • Analyze Dynacare’s incident and accident data and claimsmanagement programs and processes enterprise-wide with a view tominimize workplace injuries and related claim costs. Develop an areaspecific monthly report.
  • Partner with Corporate disabilitymanagement team to facilitate short-term and long-term disabilityclaims management .
  • Oversee annual compliance programs.

What YOU bring to the role:

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field.
  • Knowledge of Manitoba, Alberta and British Columbia safetyrequirements and legislation.
  • Experience in a healthcaresetting with knowledge of biosafety.
  • 5+ years progressive H&S business partner experience,including 2+ years’ experience working with multiple sites and inmultiple Provinces.
  • Experience supporting employee clientgroups at different organizational levels.
  • Experience leadingsafety process and program change initiatives.
  • Experience indeveloping and implementing occupational health, safety and emergencymanagement system programs.
  • Well-developed verbal and writtencommunication skills.
  • Biosafety experience in multipleProvinces.
  • Strong leadership ability, relationshipdevelopment, influencing and persuasion skills at all levels of theorganization
  • Results orientation.
  • Highly organizedwith the ability to multi-task.
  • Experienced coach with solidunderstanding of leadership principles
  • Strong analyticalskills and superior ability to problem solve complex issues.
  • Ability to be both hands on and strategic.
