Travel Licensed Practical Nurse

We are looking for a compassionate and caring *LPN *with a passion for the elderly to temporarily join our team at a beautiful Long-Term Care/ Assisted Living Facility in the *Interior and Okanagan, British Columbia* region.

*Contract:*
* 3-4 months contract with possibility of extension.
* Short term contracts can also be discussed.

*Locations: *Salmon Arm, B.C

*Start Date:*
* By end of May

*Schedule:*
* Rotations could be 8-hour or 12-hour shift

*Compensation:*
* $45.00 per hour _*plus allowance and accommodation *_

*Responsibilities and duties:*
* Performs assessments.
* Plans, implements, and provides personal and nursing care to residents.
* Administers oral and subcutaneous medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures
* Directly supervises care staff to meet resident's needs.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

*Qualifications:*
* Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing Program.
* Current registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of BC.
* Current CPR and First Aid certification.
* Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.
* Knowledge and background in Dementia care (preferred).

Job Types: Fixed term contract, Casual, Seasonal
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: $45.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:
* French not required
Schedule:
* 12 hour shift
* 8 hour shift
* Day shift
* Evening shift
* Monday to Friday
* Morning shift
* Night shift
* On call
* Overtime
* Weekends as needed
Supplemental pay types:
* Overtime pay

Education:
* Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
