Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the accounting team in their monthly tasks, including recording transactions, assessment of financial health, ERP implementation, consolidation activities, and financial reporting.
- Generate comprehensive monthly reports for management, providing detailed explanations of our financial performance in comparison to our strategic plans, including analysis derived from both accounting and FP&A perspectives.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of profit and loss statements, focusing on optimizing revenue streams and implementing cost-saving measures to minimize expenses.
- Maintain vigilant oversight of cash flow management and ensure accurate tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
- Actively contribute to the annual budgeting process, leveraging ERP capabilities, and regularly monitor progress against budgeted targets, providing insights for strategic decision-making.
- Ensuring the security and efficiency of financial processes, implementing controls, and leveraging ERP systems to streamline operations.
- Provide expert support and guidance to team members, fostering their professional development and enabling them to excel in their respective roles.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with IT teams and external consultants to drive ERP implementation, consolidation efforts, and optimization of reporting capabilities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance department, leveraging ERP functionalities and best practices to enhance financial processes and reporting accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; CPA designation required.
- Extensive knowledge of financial regulations, reporting standards, taxation, and controls, with demonstrated experience in ERP implementation and consolidation.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive financial experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a managerial capacity, preferably within the distribution industry.
- Proven leadership abilities with excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
- Demonstrated talent for motivating and guiding a team towards achieving strategic objectives.
- Familiarity with financial software such as AS/400, Blackline, Hyperion, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is highly desirable.
