POSITION SUMMARY

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create a safe and fun environment for Hotspurs players to play the game of soccer;
  • Plan and execute all team practices and attend all games; on evenings, and weekends as required for the duration of the pre-season and season
  • Contribute to the positive development of players’ skills through appropriate training and technical guidance;
  • Select and implement a “system of play” for your team in consultation with the Club TD
  • Understand and follow the Club’s philosophy, rules, and policies;
  • Promote the Club and its values of fair play and sportsmanship;
  • Respond to and engage with parents/guardians as required;
  • Enforce the Club Codes of Conduct & Ethics and the Club Discipline Policy;
  • Respect and understand the rules and regulations of the competitions your team participates in;
  • Hold a pre-season meeting with parents and players, to provide them with relevant season plans for the team and a team budget;
  • Identify a volunteer team Manager and team Treasurer for each season;
  • Prepare a comprehensive Emergency Action Plan for each season;
  • Conduct assessments prior to each season under the supervision of the Club TD and subsequently select your team.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for competitive coaches who meet and exceed the following criteria:

  • Responsible: Timely, attentive, safety conscious, consistently meets/exceeds administrative deadlines and is committed to fulfilling all duties of their role.
  • Engaging: Comfortable and confident, the ability to provide instruction of technical soccer skills and mentorship to young players.
  • Professional: Neat in appearance, friendly, tactful and courteous in all communication with colleagues, parents and Club leadership.
  • Team Player: Collaborative, dependable, and commitment to elevating those around you.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and your level of Coaching certification.

Pay: $25.00-$60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 – 12 per week

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
